NetGuard has closed the operation in Israel, there are no more engineers working on enhancements, new releases or bug fixes. There are no longer any Netguard employees anywhere in the world.

Former management and technical support staff from NetGuard/Guardian have come to work in our organization. A certified Guardian Firewall reseller company has also become part of the organization as well.

We want to assist and help all of the Guardian users we have worked with over the past several years.

Recently discovered Guardian problems:

1. The destination ports reported in the Manager are unreliable and may be incorrect.
2. Periodically the controlling password is forgotten and has to be recovered and changed.
3. The Objects database becomes corrupted and strategies will not load. Be sure and keep a backup or they all have to be re-entered.
4. In the GUI IP addresses related to the VPN may be invisible.
5. Periodically forgets its license and freezes. Be very sure you write down your license in a safe place.
6. If you set size limits on the log database, occasionally the periodic compaction will hang and lock the Manger.
7. Occasionally the DNS resolution for the history log starts to loop on unresolved IP addresses and the DNS traffic may become very large. If you use an internal DNS this won't show on the traffic logs but will adversely effect throughput.

If you have upgraded to Ver 5.03 and are not having problems great. However, if you have not, then don't. It has significantly more stability problems than ver 5.02.
